Gearing up for the Holidays

One of Sean’s former vehicles is in the shop this week. Now owned by Joe C. this TDI Converted Syncro Vanagon is getting a new transmission courtesy of Rancho Transaxles. As well as some dent repair and some paint refreshing by our own master painter Gary Long.

Transporter Werks and Galatea Boutique will be participating in the Raleigh Christmas Parade Saturday November 17th. We will turn our shopping carts into a vw beetle with two manaquins dressed by Cheryl from Galatea. Come on out and join us down town to kick off the holiday season.

In the past few weeks the Transporter Werks Crew has put a lot of work into improving our shop. We have added shelving and rearranged our mechanical and fabrication areas as well as adding a designated engine building area for Anthoni.

Sean has been working hard since aquiring this Porsche. After sitting in storage for 20 plus years he has gotten it road worthy again. From refreshing the fuel system to giving it a full tune up including new fuel filter, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, points, wires, rotor, and cap. He has replaced the tires, added new H4 headlights, fixed a faulty turn signal switch, and returned the heating system to factory. After all the work done to it Sean proclaimed it road trip worthy and took a day trip to the Saxapahaw General Store with his wife Cheryl this past weekend.
