Vanagon restoration are complicated, and finding quality parts can be difficult. It has been 40 years since the first Vanagon rolled off the factory line. Fortunately, we are still able to find some high quality mechanical parts. Vanagons definitely do have a global "cult" following. There are many small business across the globe manufacturing all kinds of cool innovative products. That said, sometimes we do need to scour the globe to find just the right part for your van.

Our products are constantly growing and adapting to fit modern needs. Signature Transporter Werks modifications are prototyped in-house and then tested for sturdiness and longevity, by Sean and by our local customers.
We Take Restorations Seriously
Many vintage vehicles are treasures – it may have been in your family for generations, or has sentimental value to you, or sometimes it’s a rare find. Whatever the situation, we will take the time and attention to detail on your Vanagon, because what we do is our passion. Vanagon restoration and customization can be very challenging and expensive, often running $40,000 – $60,000 for full mechanical restorations and well over $100,000 for a complete restoration, depending on the condition of the Vanagon.
Rust
Vanagon restoration can be very challenging and expensive, rust, and body damage repair can be costly. It can easily add many thousands of dollars to the cost. Old Vanagon bodies often have generations of rust, structural damage, and/or failed repair attempts. We coin these jobs “Rustorations” because of the enormous undertaking it can be to restore. That said, we can handle almost any repair.

Restoration is not just for cosmetic purposes and often body repair work affects the structural integrity of a vehicle. If the job is performed improperly, the safety of the passengers is at stake. From floor pan replacement to body panel repair and reconstruction to complete frame-off restorations, we pride ourselves on the quality of our bodywork and stand behind the aftermarket parts we use.
